The Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary (IHM) have served in St. John Bosco parish and school since its founding in 1953.  The Sisters moved into a temporary convent on Woodlawn Rd. on August 22, 1953 and opened school in temporary quarters on September 9, 1953.  With the increase in enrollment in school, it became necessary to provide accommodations for additional Sisters.  The temporary convent was sold and a new one was constructed adjacent to the church.  The new convent as well as a four-classroom addition were blessed and dedicated by Msgr. John T. Green on October 27, 1957.

 At present, nine Sisters reside in the convent.

Sister Rosemary Walsh is the Superior in the convent and is a Director of Finance for the IHM Community. 

Three Sisters minister at St. John Bosco parish:

Sister Rita Marotta, Principal;

Sister Regina Michael, Office Assistant;

Sister Joy, Religious Enrichment

Two Sisters are associated with other parishes: 

Sister Mary of the Sacred Heart is DRE at

          Our Lady of the Sacred Heart in Hilltown, and

Sister Roberta is DRE at St. Robert in Warrington.
