EMERGENCY PROCEDURES

1. Lock Down:           

1. “Lock Down” will be announced
2. Search Hallway and Lavatories for students.
3. Lock classroom doors.
4. Have students sit on floor under their desks.
5. Be prepared to respond to office re: students

1. Evacuation:

     
-     Fire Bell Rings
-     Follow plan outlined for a “Fire Drill.”
      (Students exit and form lines in the back school yard)

1. Evacuation and Re-Location:

1. “Re-Locate” will be announced.
2. Fire Bell will ring.
3. Secretary will open the front door of the Church
4. Leave the building as in a fire drill and enter the front door of the Church.

1. “Shelter in Place”:

1. Directions to “Go to the Hallway” will be announced.
2. Students take coats/snacks/books to read etc. with them.

1. Teachers take Roll Book/Medical Cards/with them to the Hallway.
2. Keep windows and doors closed.
3. Wait for further instructions.
4. Snacks and water available in copy room.
5. Emergency medications will be available in front office.
6. Secretary will contact the Emergency Response Team.

“Shelter in Place” is determined by the local police department.
